Why there are three

Musical keys are what the track is actually in: A minor, C major. They are precise, but nothing about the names tells you which ones sit well together.

Wheel codes (1A to 12B, sometimes called alphanumeric keys) rearrange the same keys so that neighbours are compatible. A is minor, B is major. One number up or down is a safe mix.

Open Key is the same idea with different numbering: m for minor, d for major, and 1 where the wheel codes have 8.

Each wheel code links to a page listing what mixes with that key.

You know which keys go together. Which of your tracks are in them?

ZOOT works out the key, tempo and energy of every track on your phone, then shows what follows what.
