Perfect — one step round
The neighbours on the wheel. Six of the seven notes are shared with 6B, so a long blend holds together. This is the move to reach for when you want the change to go unnoticed.
Fuzzy — change of mode
6A is the relative minor: the same seven notes as 6B with a different home note, so the mood turns without anything going sour. 5A and 7A are a step round as well as a change of mode. They usually work; listen to how the bass lines sit before you commit.
Boost — two or three steps up
