How to read it
The inner ring is the twelve minor keys (A). The outer ring is the twelve major keys (B). Keys that touch share almost every note, so they blend. The further you travel in one move, the more the change is heard.
- Perfect — one step round, same ring. The move nobody notices.
- Fuzzy — across to the other ring, straight or one step round. A change of mood that still holds.
- Boost — two or three steps clockwise. A lift; mix it quickly.
- Drop — two or three steps anticlockwise. Lets the tension out.
- Mood — four steps. A new chapter.
